Published February 2021
We are proud to be part of Grupo Nutresa, recognized with the Gold Category in the S&P Global Sustainability Yearbook, after being distinguished in 2020 as the most sustainable food company in the world, according to the Dow Jones Sustainability Indices.
The S&P Global Sustainability Yearbook is a publication that recognizes 15% of the best performing companies in sustainability in the world within each of the 61 industries that are part of the Dow Jones Indices.
To select the best practices, this publication is based on the Corporate Sustainability Assessment, which in turn is used for the development of the Dow Jones sustainability indices, based on an expanded base of eligible unlisted companies. In the end, 203 companies in the food sector from around the world were evaluated based on their corporate practices in the social, environmental, and economic dimensions.
The permanence in this evaluation after ten consecutive years – reaching the Bronze Class distinctions in 2012 and 2014, and Silver Class from 2015 to last year shows the commitment, leadership, and consistent work of Grupo Nutresa’s human team in the search for competitiveness and the implementation of the best sustainable practices. It is also a recognition of its corporate capacity to create value for society.
